Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me reprogram my bricked mmi 3g unit?

Can you give us an idea of how you bricked it? As there are solutions to get the firmware back on.
To be totalt honest I bought it "broken" from ebay and are now trying to get it to work again.
I have followed some guides on the internet where i have soldered me an serial port on the card edge connector. So I can se mmi booting up and I can launch the MMI3G EmApp.
Every flashing programs success but when it comes to start it up it always failed.
I downloaded the hnav_eu_k0257_5 and put it on a sdcard.
My last try was now to replace the harddrive whit an similar 40gb
Then I set up the new partitions according to this guide;
DIY: Upgrade MMI 3G HDD to SSD
And then i run these commands, to reinstall the flįsh memory cards.
flashit -a 0x00040000 -d -f /mnt/sdcard10t11/3/MU9308/fpga/41/default/SystemFPGA.hbbin
flashit -a 0x00100000 -d -f /mnt/sdcard10t11/3/MU9308/fpga-emg/41/default/SystemFPGA.hbbin flashit -a 0x001C0000 -d -f /mnt/sdcard10t11/3/MU9308/ifs-emg/41/default/ifs-emg.ifs
flashit -a 0x00780000 -d -f /mnt/sdcard10t11/3/MU9308/ifs-root/41/default/ifs-root.ifs
flashit -a 0x04E00000 -d -f /mnt/sdcard10t11/3/MU9308/efs-system/41/default/efs-system.efs
flashit -a 0x06200000 -d -f /mnt/sdcard10t11/3/MU9308/efs-persist/41/default/efs-persist.efs
Now when I start the unit up it fails with this lines;
Duration of starting JDSIBundle : 5572ms

So, you have no idea what is wrong with your unit, but as last"try" you changed hdd, where you took img for cloning, from your old hdd which may be not operative anymore or tested image from web?
You have done everything I would have do to recover the unit, a full restore of the software from the command line should work, so to me your looking at a system board issue. Only other thing I can think of is to try and load the original MMI software on the unit, or near enough the original version. Then if that works upgrade to the current version.
Thanks for answer,
I read in another forum that the mmi unit would boot up whitout an harddrive, but you wouldnt be able to use the navigation.
So tog out the old harddrive and prepare a new one and only created the partitions. No copy at all.
It fels like I have read everything on the internet and tried everything.
How could I tell the original firmware? Havnt tried that one yet.

What manufacturing date is on the unit?
Hi,
Its made in 2008
Regards
I would be looking to try version HNav_EU_K0022_1_D1.
Damn, that's old I will have to search the net for that one.
If not somebody have it their storage somewhere and can help me out?
