05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
Hello people
I have spent most of the day sorting out an Audi A4 that has been repaired after having 10K´s worth of front end damage.
more or less a complete front end, ALL air bags and dash have been replaced.
After deleting all the codes to find out what was left i have managed to sort almost ALL of them out but have a few that still remain
in this list you can ignore the AIR-CON faults as it still needs to be gassed.

Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
That is FANTASTIC !!!!!
Will give it go on Monday and post up how it went on
i bloody know it was the the above for the angle sensor but could not remember how i did it last time on my Golf LOL
as for the key NOW reading that i cant remember the key working off the fob to open or close it
so could be the battery in the fob is dead
Thanks again for the help :beerchug:

Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
Thanks for the info as had another go at it today
so far i have the key sorted and also the angle sensor but STILL have the following causing me some trouble lol
i have been through the above links and followed the procedures but this is stopping me i think
[Security Access - 16]
Enter 30475, to enable the basic setting.
If you are having problems performing this security access, contact us.
When i enter the code 30475 all i get is a message that it is blocked by SEED
cant remember the full message lol
just for information
the car had a FULL set of front air bags, sensors, seat belt pre pensioners and also a NEW air bag ECU.
i have recoded the new ECU with the soft coding and air bag lights have gone out
The car also had a NEW air bag slip ring
also the lights i have on the dash are
ABS light
Traction control light and hand brake light
these faults STILL remain

Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
Feel free top contact me directly for assistance, but make sure to include a scan with at least version 704 or even better the latest Beta 804 as well as your name/address/license number so we can find you in our customer database...:p
Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
the air bag control unit code wrong or its the wrong part number, check the last letter of the old control unit part number,if its differant check it superseeded to the new one and take it to audi to configure the code from th pr numbers.abs, airbag and engine electrics are on the powertrain bus network and need coding to pr number specification
Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
Part number is fine as well as the coding.
Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
I checked the PN before it was fitted is is identical to the old one
i am quite new to VAG-COM in genral terms and can do most of the basic stuff and although this has phased me a little i think i did quite well lol
from about 30-40 faults i thought it was going well untill this came up
Think i will get it over to Audi to finish the job then all i need to do is get the customer to bring ALL the other keys to code them as i think they will not work now as i have set it to just 1 as it is the only key i had today
Thanks guys
and safe to say this one beat me this time lol
oh well onwards and all that
Andy
yummm BETA version, will pop over and have a gander
Re: 05 Audi A4 2.0 TDI problems
see you soon dent reform, vag com is fine but 5051b guided has all the info for this i have 704 vag comand beta 803 plus use of 5051/5051b 5052 and 5053 plus elsa pro and my nogggin and Sebastian is a good man also with a wealth of vagcom knowledge. If you have et adaption channel 50 and 51 then it should be ok as you dont need to perform the security access for j706 but abs control unit needs recoding for new airbag control unit
