A4 Avant rear wiper 'squirter'\water jet fuse
My A4 B7 rear wiper has been acting erratically recently so, having followed a thread or two on here (thank you to those who've posted "How to's..." very useful) I've removed it and sure enough there's a leak somewhere (probably where the nozzle joins the motor I think) and the PCB in the motor is damp. I think it's probably redeemable so will try to resurrect it and fix the leak.
However, while I do this the motor will likely be out for a few days and I want to stop myself being an idiot and absent mindedly trying to clean the rear windscreen while driving as all this will do is squirt water around the boot at the moment! Does anyone know the which fuse controls the rear 'squirter'\water jet? I can't find it in the fuse list. The manual tells me that there's one for the 'wiper system' (36) and another for the 'pump for windscreen washer' (37) but none listed for the rear pump and I'm guessing it must be different as the rear 'squirter'\water jet pump is not activated at the same as the front one.
Has anyone come across this before and knows which fuse it is?
Thanks
Sqwim

I don't know the answer to your question, but in your place, I would stuff a drill bit of suitable diameter in the end of the pipe to conain the flow!
By the way, the expression "squirter" is fine, but I tend to call this whole device a bidet, for obvious reasons!
Good luck with the Lazarus attempt.
Re: A4 Avant rear wiper 'squirter'\water jet fuse
Thanks, I may well have to do something like that as I can confirm that the necessary fuse is #37. Unfortunately this means that the front 'squirters'\water jets won't work either!
Cheers
Re: A4 Avant rear wiper 'squirter'\water jet fuse
Hi Sqwim
I had the same problem with an erratic rear wiper motor. I also had a leak at the connection to the motor with water pouring everywhere. My motor was perfect but the mechanical winding side was gubbed. I stripped my motor unit and found that the cogs inside the wiper unit had worn and were connecting sometimes and sometimes not. Unfortunately it was a new motor unit for me. Easy to replace and cost was £79.99 for a new unit from Lincon AUDI with a 2 year warranty. Got new hose and fittings from them also for £6.50. All good now and running great again. You dont realise how much you need that rear wiper. Not sure if you have resolved your problem but thought I would post anyway.
Re: A4 Avant rear wiper 'squirter'\water jet fuse
Thanks. I am indeed all sorted now, a new motor was required as the PCB had corroded sufficiently badly that my attempts to resurrect made it worse! I thought the issues was the connector between the hose and motor but the new motor assembly also gets a *little* bit damp there too when squirter is used. My thoery now is that because the wiper was blocked at the nozzle end, my repeated efforts to clear by squirting probably caused sufficient water to leak out within the motor housing itself.
