If I buy a new climate control panel from an Audi Main Dealer , am I right in saying it won’t have Component Protection as it’s a new part ?
And therefore I could remove the old and replace with the new.
Thx in advance

My A6 was recently in for repair, which involved a new rear valance, parking sensors and parking sensor loom. after a couple of days of having the car back all the audio stopped working, no radio, no CD, no Sat Nav and no voice control. could this be component protection or is it more likely to be the BOSE AMP "fried" I have now removed the AMP but before I send it away for an expensie repair I wanted a second opinion. When I run my VCDS it said it couldn't contact the audio.

You would get a CP error code on the AMP if it was CP. Your AMP is dead unfortunately.
