Intake manifold flap - how do you align on a diesel with vcds? HELP!
Hi folks,
I have replaced my intake manifold flap on my 2008 A6 2.0 tdi BRE manual. I could find no settings within the Rosstech program nor online to align the new flap.
There is a lot of chat online about aligning a throttle body on petrols and although diesels don't have a throttle body as such it is a similar part involving a flap and motor surely it needs alignment.
I have seen after hours of hunting 2 people who say on youtube that its just plug and play, however on the (geuine) VDO box when I opened it the part had a sticker saying it needs to be programmed with OBD!
Any thoughts or help much appreciated!

have you tried to do it with VCDS in the adaptations page.
There should be a drop down for it.

There are no adaptations......

Thanks for the replies, no nothing under adaptations, Crasher from your response what’s your experience in fitting this part is it just plug and play so to speak and Ecu self learns - no adaptation or coding needed!?

Yes just fit and go, you could run it in output tests to check it works, I tend to do this before rebuilding just in case I have misdiagnosed it and there is a wiring problem instead, if the part has not been bolted down I can return it to TPS or whoever.
