Recommendation - VW expert in the north west?

Hi All, I am experiencing some boost issues on my Golf Mk5 2.0 TDI with have been ongoing since February (details can be seen on my thread here; Golf 2.0 TDI occasional splutter? )
The car is booked into my local garage for a turbo/egr clean next week, which is a bit of a clutching at straws, but I'm running out of ideas.
Can anyone recommend a competent garage or mechanic that can help with this? I'm based in Morecambe but would travel most places in the NW. I've had the car booked in at Volkservice in Blackpool, who let me down by not having the Auto Electrician on site, despite me booking the car in with them.
I'm losing the will to live over this problem, all responses gratefully received.
