Fuel Filter Change
I have finally got my Audi A6 2005 3.0tdi quatro back from the bodyshop in Maidstone. some muppet on the M25 in a minibus failed to stop and smacked me up the backend, and pushed me into another van. Entire rear bumper and boot lid needed replacing, and the front grill smashed (some damage to front bumper)
Maidstone Car body repairs have done a spectacular job, the car looks better than it did when I got it, and it was already in great condition.
Anyway, Im thinking of changing the fuel filter, instructables say it is fairly easy to do, but I read one person post stating they fill the filter up with 3 quarters injector cleaner and 1 quarter diesel, and it gives the injectors a good clean.
Is this a good idea? I am pretty sure I have the leaky injector issue, and over the next few months Ill be looking to buy up the required 6 injectors (latest version) but cant do them yet or all at ones (cost) so figure maybe a clean might help
Also, can anyone advise on how much spillage there will be? Never done a fuel filter before, in fact only ever done cabin and air filters

Re: Fuel Filter Change
Cool, Did it today, little spillage, very small, and cleaned up with some kitchen roll. Old one out, bit of a pain getting to the one nut holding the canister in place, but got it loose enough. Poured old filter into new filter, then topped up with can of diesel (like a tablespoon or so) car started after maybe 5 seconds, drives fine.
Certainly dont need any pictures for doing it.
