Heater fan not working on 2004 Golf GT TDI MK5 with AC

Hi folks,

The heater/AC fan on my 2004 Golf GT TDI MK5 has stopped working. The car has the dual zone climatic control A/C unit.

Have checked the fuse and it appears to be fine as lights on the control unit still working as are the various actuators which divert the air round the car as I can hear them moving as I change were air should blow.

The Check Coolant warning light has also recently appeared even though coolant is at max level. Could the two be linked?

Any ideas?
