Car's got to go for scrap - what should I remove first?
My A4 Avant's timing belt went last week, ruining the engine. I'm absolutely gutted, and in an ideal world I'd re-engine it but it had done 237k so probably not worthwhile.
The garage where it got towed after it broke on me have offered to sell it for scrap and give me the money. Unfortunately I have neither the time nor space to strip it for parts myself or I would.
I'm going to get the towbar off it before they scrap it, if I can, because I'd take another the same in a heartbeat but very few seem to have had them fitted. I just wondered if there's anything else I should take out of it before I let it make its final journey?
Cheers

when was it last changed?

Turbo, injectors, door control modules and wiring looms, ashtrays, drink holder and tray holder, clocks, ECU and keys, boot actuator, vent motors.
All small enough to be stored at home and posted. Good luck hope you can make a few quid from her.
