I have an Audi Allroad with inset aluminium running bars along the lower parts of the doors. On the driver's side below the wing mirror there is a mark which I'm going to call a water mark, but I don't really know what caused it as it was on the car when I got it. Pic below.
How would you shift this? I've been trying autosol and peek paste but it really hasn't made a difference, except my right arm now has more muscles than a teenage boy's. The car still has the mark though :confused:
Wd40 can be good for chrome but to be honest it'll soon be back. Just get it dirty and you won't see it [emoji23]

That's a weird one. Maybe TFR has been left to dry on and has stained the chrome. Might be worth asking over at The Worlds Largest Resource for Detailers, Valeters and Car Cleaning
The finish is anodised. It is the outer layer of the aluminium that is hardened and coloured. I find a bit of polish reduces the appearance but don't go to mad as it is only a few microns thick and will go through if you get vicious with it. It will come back after a while though. You will have to swap it out if you want it gone forever. [emoji17]

Thanks for the replies guys. I hadn't realised it was an anodised finish so I'll research that. Might explain why autosoo hasnt touched it. It's definitely not chrome. Cheers.
Its plastic chromed. Ive spend hours trying to clean up mine and even i got it all nice it went back after few washes . Buy a second hand trim , its easy to remove

Ok, I stand corrected! Apologies to the guys who mentioned chrome before, I was convinced they were aluminium:)
how are they removed and refitted?
