    Thanks for the responses. Ill check on the air con cleaner as it seems to do it if the engine is off. Unless its an after smell still coming through.

    Start with a code read of the convenience system but check the wires in the door to body conduit as they snap or even crack their insulation and short

    I had a Golf 5 behind me the other day where he had done this, highly illegal and get involved in an accident where a car coming the other way gets confused
