    • Volkswagen introduces compelling lifetime replacement brake pads offer
    • New pads or brake shoes fitted by Volkswagen will subsequently be replaced free
    • Offer applies for the lifetime of the car’s ownership

Volkswagen is introducing a great value new Lifetime Brakes replacement service as part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to driving down the cost of top quality car care and maintenance.

The simple new offer works like this: if a Volkswagen customer has their car’s brake pads or shoes replaced with genuine Volkswagen parts at a participating Volkswagen Retailer, they can return for free replacement pads or shoes whenever they wear out in future. This lasts for as long as they own their Volkswagen and, as it includes the cost of parts and labour, it represents incredible value for money.

The offer applies as soon as the customer has a set of brake pads or shoes fitted at a Volkswagen Retailer; all they have to do is show the invoice for the initial brake pad or shoe replacement. And Volkswagen Retailers will only use Volkswagen Genuine Parts, all of which are covered by a two-year warranty.

The new Lifetime Brakes offer is the latest in a range of incentives, including Fixed Price Servicing, created by Volkswagen to drive down servicing and maintenance costs for the brand’s millions of owners nationwide.

Aside from great deals such as the new Lifetime Brakes offer, having a Volkswagen serviced or repaired at a Volkswagen Retailer brings with it all manner of advantages, among them the high-quality of training

    • ŠKODA transfers its distinctive new design language into the SUV segment
    • Largest boot capacity within class
    • Available with up to seven seats
    • Latest infotainment, connectivity, and assistance system technology
    • Three TSI and two TDI engines
    • Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) as well as off-road function for 4×4 variants

ŠKODA has kicked off its major SUV campaign with the new Kodiaq. The 4.7m long SUV is a versatile all-rounder. It offers the largest boot capacity within its class and will be available with the option of a third row of seats. The Kodiaq places a new brand emphasis on infotainment, assistance systems and connectivity, and goes on sale at the beginning of 2017.

With the Kodiaq, ŠKODA is entering a new market segment that is growing quickly across the world – the large SUV class. With this campaign, the brand wants to engage new customer groups, increase its market share and further strengthen its position in international markets. The ŠKODA Kodiaq demonstrates where ŠKODA stands today, and points to its future – with a variety of new technology and future-oriented features in terms of connectivity, including mobile online services.

“Our new ŠKODA Kodiaq SUV is a great all-rounder”, said ŠKODA CEO, Bernhard Maier. “It combines an active sense of vitality with the brand’s classic qualities – a high degree of functionality and an outstanding amount of space. As always, in the design process we have focused on offering a little bit more car, and as a result, the best vehicle in the segment. In addition, with its emotive design, the ŠKODA Kodiaq is a strong presence on the road.”

    • ŠKODA’s bestseller is even more dynamic and efficient
    • Three-cylinder TSI with a power output of 115 PS and low fuel consumption
    • Adaptive DCC optional for versions 150 PS or more
    • ŠKODA Phonebox for connecting and charging a smartphone inductively

Mladá Boleslav, 13 June 2016 – The 2017 range of ŠKODA Octavia models is becoming even more dynamic and efficient. A new high-tech, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine completes the engine range; adaptive DCC is optional for versions with 150 PS or more.
A turbo-charged, three-cylinder petrol engine has replaced the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder version. From its engine size of 999cc, the new 1.0 TSI produces 115 PS and provides 200 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm. The first three-cylinder engine in the history of the Octavia has sophisticated acoustics and enables a driving performance that surpasses its predecessor.

In combination with 7-speed DSG, the new 1.0 TSI accelerates the ŠKODA Octavia hatchback from 0-62mph in 9.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 126mph. Combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, 62mph can be achieved in just 9.6 seconds. The ŠKODA Octavia Estate is also available with 7-speed DSG or a manual gearbox; with a 124mph top speed and 10.1 second or 9.8 second 0-62mph time respectively.

The biggest improvement, however, is to the new three-cylinder TSI’s fuel consumption, which is 8 per cent lower than that of the previous engine. The hatchback with 7-speed DSG can return 62.8mpg emitting 105 g CO2/km, while the manual gearbox lowers the latter to 104g/km. Choose the Octavia Estate and this increases to 61.4mpg (106g/km) and 62.8mpg (105g/km) respectively.

    • Powerful exterior with distinct three-dimensional lines
    • Elegant appearance thanks to clear interior lines
    • Largest boot in its class, optional foldable third row

The ŠKODA Kodiaq, which will celebrate its world premiere in September, makes a strong statement with an impressive combination of powerful design and generous space. The exterior is clear-cut, the lines are distinctly three-dimensional – giving the new ŠKODA SUV an unmistakeable presence on the road. The interior is also characterised by clear lines and impresses with generous space alongside its elegant appearance.

Jozef Kabaň, ŠKODA’s Head of Design, and his team have opted for a striking design language for the ŠKODA Kodiaq, which transfers the brand’s new design style into the SUV segment. Rationality and aesthetics work together unmistakeably here. As the design sketch already shows, all lines are clear, precise and sharp; the highly recessed shoulder line highlights the large ŠKODA SUV’s robust character. Flat, raked headlights are positioned on both sides of the wide ŠKODA grille. Their crystalline structure pays hommage to Czech crystal glass art, which is steeped in tradition.

The extensively sculptured rear section also accentuates the ŠKODA Kodiaq’s sporty, robust SUV character. The LED rear lights are designed in the brand’s typical C-shape, continuing the ŠKODA SUV design lines in great detail. The side view is equally as strong. The long wheelbase and short overhangs point to the spacious interior. The SUV is available with two extra seats in the third row as an optional extra.

With its clear design, the interior continues the striking

    • Highly successful performance badge builds on SKODA’s sporting heritage
    • Three generations of Octavia vRS - now with the biggest range ever
    • Landmark cars including diesel-powered Fabia vRS - a sector first
    • Octavia vRS set and still holds International Land Speed Record

ŠKODA’s rich sporting and performance history reaches a historic milestone in 2016 with the 15th anniversary of the vRS brand in the UK. Since the first Octavia vRS arrived in showrooms back in 2001, ŠKODA has continually developed the vRS range; adding more power, performance and excitement to cars wearing the famous three letter badge.

    Octavia vRS Mk1 (2001-2006)

The Mk1 Octavia vRS was the first modern-era ŠKODA to enter the fiercely competitive performance car market. Perfectly showcasing the brand’s optimism, confidence and engineering skills, the Octavia was powered by a 180PS, 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the Mk1 Octavia vRS delivered numerous firsts for the brand. Not only was it the most powerful production ŠKODA ever produced, it was also the fastest (146mph Hatch) and most expensive with a UK price tag of Ł15,535.

The first-generation Octavia vRS proved an instant hit with car buyers and the world’s motoring media alike. While it broke a price barrier for the brand, its high equipment levels meant that no rival could match the Octavia vRS for sheer value and entertainment.

    Fabia vRS Mk1 (2003-2007)

ŠKODA’s passion for ripping up the performance car rulebook took another leap forward in 2003 with the introduction of the Fabia vRS. Powered by a 130PS, 1.9-litre turbodiesel engine, the Fabia defied convention and proved

Embedded SIM unlocks even more of the advantages of Audi connect infotainment services

    • Many new Audi models fitted with a permanently installed SIM card, including the new A3, A4, Q2 and Q7 range
    • Data flat rate included for Audi connect services
    • No more roaming fees when travelling around Europe
    • Complimentary 3-month trial is equipped

Audi is now equipping its new models that use the second-generation modular infotainment platform with the Audi connect SIM. The factory-installed SIM card offers customers the advantage of being able to immediately use the wide range of Audi connect services with the accompanying data flat rate both domestically and abroad.

The Audi connect SIM is a permanently installed SIM card, known as an embedded SIM or eSIM, which customers in Europe will receive in combination with the optional Audi connect equipment package. This transforms the car into a mobile communication centre. The SIM card brings Audi connect services on board via an LTE/UMTS module with a download speed of up to 100 MBit/s. Services include navigation with Google Earth and Google Street View, travel, traffic and parking information. In addition, drivers can access their Twitter and e-mail accounts and their smartphone’s calendar. The new SIM card contains an unlimited data volume for using these services. Another advantage is that in most European countries, the Audi connect SIM automatically accesses the provider for each specific country, as needed. This eliminates high, country-specific roaming charges and inconvenient roaming
