Golf Plus Headlight Non Working

The O/S headlight in my golf plus stopped working, ive changed the bulb but its still not working, swopped the holders, put left to right, so bulb is deffo ok, cant figure out prob.

any ideas, checked manual says fuse is a40amp in the engine bay but thats ok too

appreciate your thoughts

Sorry if this has been dealt with in the past guys. But I have had to get a replacement stereo from eBay and it has no code with it. Does anyone know how to decode it with the follwing serial number : 014VWZ1Z3X8482347. Thanks in advance guys and keep up the good work

anyway looks like the french will just not bother :biglaugh: so do you think it will be same old england ie walk the group then when it matters turn to scared childern in front of the headmaster

has capello learned anything from the WC (world cup not toilet lol) and the big one do you think 2012 will be our year to start winning things

(i know its only one win against a team we should beat anyway, but we are talking about England here)

I am new here so could someone please help.My 2001 passat 130 tdi has recently started coasting on after the throttle pedal has been lifted.If it is sitting at say 70 mph and you lift off it seems to hold the speed for too long before it starts to slow up.There is also a small possible missfire when it starts to slow.A diagnostic came back with a throttle pedal sensor fault code.I swaped out the pedal for another but to no avail same problem.Do I need to get the fault code erased before the new one will work?Or could it be something else?

I have been "messing" with the radio on my B6 Passat, yes I have made the mistake of not connecting the passenger A/B warning light.

Is there anyone near/reasonable to LEEDS W. Yorks. able to perform a re set please?

hi i have a 2004 a6tdi 130 sport with multronic g/box .my problem is the p.r.n.d.s.lights on dash keep flashing..i have managed to get a snap on diognostics hooked up .and the following has come up. to which i need help/advice.......17090 transmition range sensor f125 implausable signal p0706 intermitant 4b0910155cv30-01j 1.9ltdrwd 3120 coding 0000001 wfc 004926.......sombody said it could be a multifunctional switch ???????? i phoned audi and they say its in g/box �850+ and said f125 is a brake switch????? could checking cleaning wires /conecting be problem.and would anything need recoding if disconecting.and anybody know how to remove m.f.switch..help needed as not got �850+ ..can m.f.switches be repaired/if so does anybody know where......hope sombody can help as i need car for work everyday

:confused: The navigation dvd works fine, but is it possible to play dvd's on the screen, have tried but does not work..?? Have tried with engine off and with keys out.!! is there an update to fix..???

A6, 2005 Final edition with dvd rom drive behind screen on dash..

Any ideas/fixes would be much appreciated.! Many Thanks

Hi guys / girls.
Another newbie. Had my A4 1.8T AVANT 2004 for a couple of months now, yesteray the emission warning light came on ( FLASHING ) and the car went realy jerky.
Managed to limp home and it's still doing the same even at idle...jerky and sounds like a misfire.
Looking around at this great forum, it looks like it could be a coil pack but i need the vag-com to diagnose.

Anyone in the area that could help today please. I will of course pay for "beer money" :beerchug:and cover fuel costs.

Once i know it is the coil packs then i will need to buy some asap as the car is used to take the kids to school ( it is our only car ).

If anyone local has any coil packs then please pm me..again i need them for Monday.

I feel a bit cheeky asking for help and being a newbie but after this i do intend buying a vagcom myself and will return the favour.

SUPER VAG K+CAN problem with Audi A3

I recently bought a SUPER VAG K+CAN
It reads DTC Ok but when I
tried to do a mileage correction on a 2005 Audi A3. It read the old mileage OK but when I tried to write then new mileage it said Fail (10).

Tried unplugging the clock but no good
Can anyone help.

Hi recently got a 1998 Audi A4 TD and the Air Bag and ABS lights have been on permanently went out in it today and there is now a clonking when i brake, car still drives and stops fine.

If there is anyone local ish that could have a look it would be most appreciated, i can travel to get it looked at.

today i went over to my parents house to say hi and my younger brother and me got on the topic of de badging my tailgate...... yes we ended up with mums hairdrier:Blush2: extenstion lead and a bottle of polish, anyway we are about halfway thro and everything is going a teat and my dad came out side moaning about everything, prob not helpped by him hearing me say look what word ive made, it would suit dad :biglaugh:

it got me thinking what other words can be made from tailgate letters

I took an alloy wheel to a refurbishing place to get a 'flat spot' sorted on the inner rim, but it's come back still not true, more like lots of minor dings rather than one big one. The boss at my local ATS depot said that it's impossible to true them up perfectly once dinged. Is that true? I don't want to try somewhere else and throw good money after bad..
As I'm about to go on a very long motorway trip I'm not happy about using the wheel, however, I hadn't noticed any vibration before the flat spot was found (when a new tyre was put on), and it was quite a ding.

New alloys or refurb?

My Audi Cabriolet that I just bought has wheels that have all met with a curb at some point by the previous owner..

The previous owner has suppled 4 "copy" alloys that look the same as the OEM ones but are not a genuine part..

I am trying to decide whether to use the "copy" alloys or to have the originals refurbished and then sell the "copys" to cover the refurb costs..

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions one way or the other? :beerchug:

Also can anyone suggest a good refurb shop in Sussex? (preferably not mobile/smart repairers but proper refurb shop)

I have just bought a USB CAN-BUS vcds lead and licence from the Ross-Tech LLC US web site (no attempt to direct to UK distributor) for $349+�51.33 postage (about �265 in total).

I thought the postage was a bit steep but paid up and the goods were delivered Fed-Ex

Two weeks later I got a Invoice from Fed-Ex �42.24 and a leaflet entitled "Duty and Taxes Invoice" !!!!! If you read the Ross-Tech LLC terms and conditions it tells you at point 4 that:

"<4> International Sales: All duties and taxes are the
responsibility of the customer. The courier company
normally pays these costs when they clear the package
through customs in your country and will attempt to
collect the same from you, either when the package is
delivered or by invoice afterwards. The courier
company may also assess a small fee for this service.
Should you fail to pay the courier company, they will
bill Ross-Tech instead and Ross-Tech will take whatever
steps are necessary to recover these additional costs
from you."

Im not happy as you can imagine at this hidden cost, as of all the things I have bought from the US this is the first time this has happened !

vw polo 1.4 indicator lights seem stuck on -no flashing- i cannot locate the flasher unit to replace it.
can anyone help
