    • New top trim level for the latest ŠKODA model references the brand’s rally history
    • Sporty lifestyle version with black MONTE CARLO features and even more comprehensive equipment
    • Presentation in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), market launch in the fourth quarter of 2019

The ŠKODA tradition of offering a sporty, lifestyle-oriented MONTE CARLO trim level will also be extended to the new KAMIQ city SUV.
The latest ŠKODA SUV model uses dynamic, black MONTE CARLO features to evoke the brand’s successful rally history and also features an upgraded level of equipment. The ŠKODA KAMIQ is the Czech brand’s second SUV to come in a sporty MONTE CARLO version, the first having been the ŠKODA YETI. The ŠKODA KAMIQ MONTE CARLO will make its debut together with the ŠKODA SCALA MONTE CARLO from 10 to 22 September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new top trim level for the KAMIQ can be combined with all the engines available for the model series. Deliveries will start in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Oliver Stefani, Head of ŠKODA Design, says: “The new ŠKODA KAMIQ is a typical ŠKODA SUV that develops its own distinctive personality through design elements like the split headlights. The black MONTE CARLO features emphasise this independent character and make it an even more attractive proposition for a younger target group. What you have here is a perfect combination of a sporty design referencing our successful rally vehicles and the everyday usability of a smart city SUV.”

With these additions the Passat range now starts from £25,370 RRP OTR for the 1.5 TSI EVO 150 PS saloon in entry-level SE trim. With the same trim and engine, the estate starts from £27,185 RRP OTR.

As production of the new, enhanced Passat ramps up after orders opened last month, more engines – including the popular plug-in hybrid GTE model – are now available to order.

The updated Passat GTE has an electric-only range of 43 miles NEDC (33 to 361 miles WLTP), an increase over the previous 31 mile (NEDC) range. Styling enhancements and upgraded infotainment and efficiency technologies benefit A5 Sportback, Coupé and Cabriolet models

    • New look A5 range available to order in the UK in late 2019 – first deliveries in spring 2020
    • Design revisions, upgraded engines with MHEV drive and new MMI touch operating concept among the highlights
    • Sportback and Coupé available as S TDI models with 700 Nm of torque – optimal response and efficiency thanks to 48 volt electrical system and EPC

Redrawn lines, renewed technology and a revised engine line-up underpinned by the latest efficiency upgrades - the Audi A5 Sportback, A5 Coupé and A5 Cabriolet are moving into step with their close relatives in the A4 range with a new look, new mild hybrid drivetrains and the latest MMI touch operating concept. At the top of the Coupe and Sportback ranks new S5 variants also come on stream using TDI power for the first time and combining this with an electric powered compressor and mild hybrid drive based around a 48-volt main electrical system.

    Sporty look: the exterior design

Elements of the new design language from the full-size class characterise the aesthetics of the updated Audi A5. The exterior has been significantly revised, with the front end, in particular, delivering considerably more visual impact. The Singleframe with the honeycomb grille is wider and flatter, and above it ventilation slits reference the classic Audi Sport quattro from 1984. A bold blade forms the lower edge of the bumper, which features larger air inlets. A new sill provides for a slimmer appearance when viewed from the side, while at the rear a diffuser insert with trapezoidal tailpipes makes the car appear wider. ...

Twin-turbo V8 RS 7 returns with new five-seat configuration and all the benefits of the latest generation A7, including mild hybrid drive

    • New wide-bodied high-performance five-seat Sportback available to order in the UK from November – first deliveries in January 2020
    • V8 twin turbo: 4.0 TFSI producing 600PS and 800 Nm
    • Available in the UK with standard and Vorsprung specification options

The normally urbane Audi A7 Sportback is about to bare fangs again as the successor to the original RS 7 brings 600PS and 800Nm to bear on the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. More power meets greater practicality and improved efficiency in the new second generation model, which for the first time houses five seats and a mild hybrid drivetrain within its significantly broadened body. Available in the UK in ‘standard’ and top tier Vorsprung forms, the latest addition to the fast-growing Audi Sport stable is set to reach its first customers here in early 2020.

“The RS 7 Sportback is our interpretation of a five-door high-performance coupé with a grand tourer design,” said Oliver Hoffmann, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. “With refinements to make it even more suitable for everyday use plus its incredible performance, what we have here is an outstanding piece of sports equipment for customers who like their cars to feature stunning design.”

    Innovative: the exterior design

Although unmistakably descended from the A7 Sportback, with which it in fact shares only its bonnet, roof, front doors and tailgate, the new RS 7 Sportback looks perpetually ready to wield its sledgehammer performance – its sinewy body virtually hugs the road surface, and its sizeable wheels are shrouded by boldly flared arches that leave no margin ...

Milton Keynes – Volkswagen UK is adding another performance R model to its range as orders open for the T-Roc R. Majoring on versatility with its practical SUV bodystyle, the performance SUV delivers a 300 PS punch, with 400 Nm of torque on tap and a top speed of 155 mph. Prices for the newest member of the R family start at £38,450 RRP OTR.

The T-Roc R marks the first time the R department has applied its unique and acclaimed tuning talents to an SUV since the Touareg R50 of 2008. Eleven years of progress has delivered impressive results for R-branded performance SUVs – the T-Roc’s top speed of 155 mph and its 4.9-second 0-62 mph acceleration time are significantly quicker than the older Touareg’s.

UK customers will enjoy lightweight 19-inch Pretoria alloy wheels fitted to the T-Roc R as standard – an upgrade over the standard-fit 18-inch wheels fitted in other markets. The new R model also benefits from the option of Volkswagen’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive damper system at a cost of £695. It offers greater flexibility through a choice of multiple driving modes that alter the characteristics of the car.

The T-Roc R’s colour palette provides the most vibrant options of any R-badged model to date, with Energetic Orange, Turmeric Yellow, White Silver, Indium Grey, Deep Black, Pure White, Flash Red and the standout R-specific shade Lapiz Blue all available on the compact performance SUV. All are also offered in combination with a black roof, A-pillar and mirror housings.

    • SEAT brings another dimension to its largest SUV with the introduction of the sporty FR trim and the efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain
    • Thanks to its 13kWh battery pack, the Tarraco PHEV can offer an all-electric range of more than 50km* and reduced emissions of below 50g/km*
    • With a total output power of 245PS thanks to its 110kW/150PS gasoline engine and its 85kW/116PS electric engine, the Tarraco PHEV becomes the most powerful Tarraco within the range
    • The Tarraco also comes with novelties such as the functional coast-to-coast light and a larger 9.2’’ infotainment system
    • Both the FR trim and the PHEV powertrain will be available to order in 2020

SEAT is expanding the efficiency and desirability of the Tarraco, introducing plug-in hybrid powertrain technology and the sporty FR trim. The Tarraco plug-in hybrid is a demonstration of SEAT strategy towards electrification, which will include six electric and plug-in hybrid SEAT and CUPRA models until the beginning of 2021.

SEAT sold a record 369,500 vehicles in the first seven months of the year, with 55,200 vehicles sold in July alone, a 7.8% increase over 2018. The Tarraco is contributing to increase the company’s presence globally, and the introduction of both the FR trim and plug-in hybrid technology will be key components in achieving its targets.

“The Tarraco plug-in hybrid perfectly illustrates our move towards a more sustainable mobility, yet maintaining the dynamism and fun-to-drive, typical of any SEAT. The Tarraco will be one of the few options with a plug-in hybrid powertrain on the large SUV segment, and we believe that

    • Development almost complete: Volkswagen intensively testing new Golf1 with camouflaged prototypes
    • World premiere in autumn 2019: eighth Golf generation will be digital, intelligent and connected

A new Golf is rolling up to the starting grid, marking the eighth generation. The design and digital innovations launch this bestseller – of which more than 35 million have been built – into a new age: the era of electrified drives, a digitalised and connected interior world, assisted driving and online-based functions and services. The next generation of the Golf will shape the era with new impulses.

The camouflage lets onlookers identify that the black and white lines are disguising a five-door vehicle with powerful proportions. And it makes no secret out of the fact that it is a Golf – because its visual DNA is unmistakable. Anyone taking a closer look will also see that the “Golf” designation has been integrated into the camouflage. However, the camouflage does not reveal one element: the finer details of the new design. Klaus Bischoff, head of Volkswagen Design, about the vehicle: “At this time, we will not disclose all details of the new Golf, but you can already perceive its elegant proportions.” The head designer continues: “The next generation will be a genuine eye-catcher!” The countdown to the début of number eight has already begun: the new Golf will be celebrating its world premiere in autumn 2019.

    • All-electric e-Golf now costs from £27,575 RRP OTR1
    • Price revision further enhances the e-Golf’s value offering
    • Volkswagen’s electric cars are “For millions, not millionaires”

Volkswagen UK has reduced the price of the e-Golf to £31,075 RRP OTR, which equates to £27,575 after the Government’s Plug-In Car Grant. An OTR price reduction of £2,765 makes the e-Golf an even more value-friendly offering. This pure-electric family car combines the familiarity of the Golf and the assurance of Volkswagen quality with zero-emission mobility and low ownership costs.

The award-winning e-Golf has been a favourite among critics since its introduction in 2014, with a model-refresh in 2017 only drawing further acclaim. Its 144-mile range (WLTP certified) provides ample freedom for urban travelling, enough for a round trip from London to Brighton, while its smooth electric motor gives instant acceleration, with up to 136 PS and 393 lb ft of torque on tap.

Further sweetening the e-Golf package is the flexibility provided by a full 48-hour test drive, available on this model since mid-2019, which allows prospective customers to experience the e-Golf to its fullest potential, and watch it rise to the challenges thrown at it.

Volkswagen’s electric journey doesn’t start and finish with the e-Golf, however. The arrival of the ID.3 electric hatchback in 2020 will see Volkswagen’s much-anticipated electric vehicle plans come to fruition, built upon a purpose-built electric platform, the Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB). ...
