The CUPRA brand, born from SEAT’s award-winning motorsport division, is the ultimate expression of uniqueness, sophistication and performance, constructed through passion and designed to captivate car enthusiasts around the world, creating vehicles that aren’t founded in nostalgia but rooted in the present.

Some of the most experienced and engaged staff within the motorsport division have created a new dimension of the company – an alternative outlet for its competences and capabilities as an organisation.

CUPRA will create an even livelier range of products focusing on SEAT models. They will leverage the Volkswagen Group’s powerful technological toolkit and access the huge array of possibilities it gives them, but they will also be open to cooperating with people and companies which talk the same language and share the same experiences: merchandising, accessories, events and, of course, motorsport.

As the brand diversifies its business and develops new models that offer the perfect mix of performance, driveability and usability, CUPRA will leverage the existing infrastructure that SEAT benefits from, with dedicated floor space in 277 specially selected dealerships across Europe.

CUPRA has also re-entered the world of touring cars, competing in the TCR series in 2018 and working towards the first season of eTCR in 2020 with its eRacer concept.

CUPRA was launched as a standalone brand last February with the preview of its first model, a high-performance SUV that marks the beginning of a new era.

Striking show car gives foretaste of third all-electric Audi production car

    • Debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2018
    • Four-door Gran Turismo with electric drive
    • Series production starts in late 2020

Audi is presenting one of the stars of the 2018 Auto Show in the movie capital Los Angeles. With the electric powered Audi e-tron GT concept, a four-door coupé is making its debut as a show car. The series-production counterpart is set to follow in around two years.

The next electric Audi is being launched, following in the footsteps of the Audi e-tron SUV and the Audi e‑tron Sportback slated for 2019. This time with a flat-floor architecture that provides for exciting proportions and a low centre of gravity. 434 kW (590PS) ensure performance fit for a sports car. The torque is transferred to the wheels via the quattro permanent all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, as you would expect for such a dynamic Audi. The performance subsidiary Audi Sport GmbH is responsible for subsequently transforming the car into a series-production model.

Inspiration drawn from the wind tunnel: design and body

Flat, wide and with a long wheelbase – those are the proportions of a classic Gran Turismo. And the Audi e‑tron GT concept reflects these with its 4.96-metre (16.3 ft) length, 1.96-metre(6.4 ft) width and 1.38‑metre (4.5 ft) height. The lightweight body of the four-door coupé is manufactured using a multi-material construction. Here you have a roof section made from carbon along with numerous aluminium components and supporting elements made from high-strength steel.

The technology for this automobile was developed in close collaboration with Porsche. Design and character are packed full of unmistakable Audi DNA. The gently sloping roofline of the e-tron GT concept that extends well into the rear echoes the Sportback layout that is the hallmark ...

Launch Edition packed with high-tech features including virtual door mirrors and Matrix LED lighting marks UK debut of first fully electric Audi

    • e-tron Launch Edition to slot into range above lead-in model at Ł82,240 OTR – ordering possible from early 2019
    • Comprehensive specification including virtual door mirrors, Matrix LED lighting, Valcona leather and 21-inch alloy wheels
    • Edition 1 version limited to 30 UK examples and initially offered exclusively to depositors expands on the equipment list even further
    • Sub-six-second 0-62mph acceleration, driving range of at least 248 miles*
    • Fast charging (at 150kW points) to 80% capacity in around 30 mins

The camera never lies, which is just as well because in the Audi e-tron Launch Edition two high definition cameras replace the door mirrors, bringing advantages in all-weather visibility, safety and aerodynamics. The ‘virtual door mirrors’ are among the most prominent indicators of the technological ingenuity behind every facet of the first ever fully electric Audi model, which is set to become available in the UK in early 2019 with OTR prices starting from Ł71,490.

Taking the already comprehensively equipped lead-in e-tron model as its basis, the Launch Edition slots in above it at Ł82,240 OTR. It offers an exceptional specification that not only raises the profile of the five-seat SUV technologically but also visually. Platinum-look 21-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels provide even more impact than the already striking 20-inch examples fitted to the e-tron, the headlamp units take a step up from LED to even more intelligent Matrix LED technology enabling diversion of the light ...

Introducing a new naming designation, a more defined road presence and even greater performance

    • More power and torque for the V10 naturally aspirated engines
    • 570PS quattro and 620PS performance quattro version
    • Available as a Coupé and Spyder from market launch
    • Modified suspension components for even more dynamic handling
    • Striking exterior design includes a wider, flatter Singleframe grille
    • UK ordering expected to open in early 2019

“Born on the track, built for the road.” This intrinsic Audi Sport philosophy rings particularly true in the case of the new R8, which is set to take to the road in early 2019 featuring a raft of changes, but also two important constants – retention of the much loved naturally aspirated V10 petrol engine, and suffusion with a sizeable dose of racing DNA achieved by sharing 50 per cent of components with the R8 LMS GT3 competition car revealed recently at the Paris Motor Show. Highlights of the latest R8 range include more power, torque and performance, including a first foray beyond the 200mph mark for several versions, and even greater handling precision thanks to suspension and steering revisions.

The power of the naturally aspirated V10 engine at the heart of the R8 is now uprated to 570PS in the ‘standard’ R8 Coupé and Spyder V10 quattro. The top V10 plus versions in each body style will in future carry the name ‘V10 performance’, aligning them with the most powerful models elsewhere in the Audi Sport range, and have also benefited from a power upgrade to 620PS. The four versions will go on sale in Europe in early 2019.

“The R8 occupies a unique position for Audi in every respect,” says Michael-Julius Renz, Managing Director of ...

    • The new T-Cross1): a versatile and practical SUV model in the small car class
    • An urban crossover vehicle with masculine design
    • Four efficient turbocharged engines – three petrol and one diesel – meeting the Euro 6d-Temp emission standard

World premiere in Amsterdam, Shanghai and Săo Paulo: Volkswagen presents its new T-Cross, the company’s first small SUV, and thereby resolutely continues the SUV product offensive it began in 2015. This new model will soon be debuting in the markets of three continents with its combination of style, practicality, flexibility, connectivity and economy, and setting new standards for its class as it goes. The urban crossover model reveals itself to be an ideal companion in everyday life and beyond.

With the T-Cross, Volkswagen introduces another new SUV model: even shorter and therefore better suited to the city than the T–Roc, and even more compact than the Tiguan. Ralf Brandstätter, Chief Operating Officer of Volkswagen Brand, explained at the world premiere in Amsterdam: “We’re actually presenting the T-Cross today three times over! We unveiled it a few hours ago in Shanghai, and Săo Paulo will follow later tonight. It shows just how important the T-Cross is to the Volkswagen brand as a truly global product.”

The new T-Cross is a cool companion for all occasions

The T-Cross is based on the modular transverse matrix (MQB), which allows the driven front axle to be located well forward. With a total vehicle length of 4.11 metres, the 2.56-metre wheelbase is comparatively generous, allowing a spacious interior with enough room for five people. For the greatest ...
