  • Lining up for success: New Octavia added to Škoda’s acclaimed Sportline range

    • New Octavia SportLine models introduced in hatch and estate forms
    • Dramatic sports design package and high equipment levels
    • Two engine options with outputs of 150PS and DSG availability
    • Prices start from Ł23,870 OTR
    • SportLine models also available on Karoq, Kodiaq and Superb models

ŠKODA’s dynamic SportLine range is set to expand once again in 2019 with the introduction of an all-new Octavia variant. Featuring a dramatic black design package and a fully loaded specification list, the new Octavia SportLine is the latest addition to ŠKODA’s acclaimed SportLine range.

The Octavia SportLine joins similarly-badged models from the Karoq, Kodiaq and Superb ranges, and sits below the range-topping vRS models in the revised Octavia line-up. In keeping with other models in the SportLine range, the Octavia SportLine serves up a striking new look thanks to a gloss black front spoiler, grille, door mirrors and rear diffuser insert. The hatch model additionally features a gloss black rear spoiler. The Octavia SportLine rides on 18-inch Vega alloy wheels finished in black with silver details, while full LED headlights with adaptive front light system and LED daytime running lights complete the exterior design package.

In terms of standard equipment and technology, the SportLine builds on the already highly-specified SE model, but adds Amundsen satellite navigation with 8-inch touchscreen display and integrated Wi-Fi, Infotainment Online (one year), Light assistant (coming home, leaving home, tunnel light) and rain sensor. In the cabin, SportLine customers benefit from sport seats and upholstery, a black headlining and a Super sport three-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel (with paddles if specified with DSG).

The Octavia SportLine is available in both hatch and estate body styles, and can be specified with two engine options; a 1.5 TSI petrol engine that generates 150PS or a 2.0 TDI diesel that also produces 150PS. The latter is equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard while the 1.5 TSI unit can be specified with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG.

Prices for the new Octavia SportLine models range from Ł23,870 OTR for the 1.5 TSI 150PS manual hatch, to Ł27,860 OTR for the 2.0 TDI 150PS DSG estate variant. All Octavia SportLine models are available to order now, with first deliveries expected in April.

Yep a special 3 pronged socket but a 3 to 4 foot piece of rope or parachute cord can be a good substitute to make a 'rope coil socket'. The loom connector
