Volkswagen UK offers another measure to make Volkswagen ownership even more affordable – the introduction of 0% APR finance payment option on aftersales work and accessories across the majority of the brand’s Retailer Network.
The offer allows customers to spread the cost of servicing, MOTs, tyres and general maintenance and repairs, as well as accessories, with 0% interest and no fees. It is available at participating Volkswagen Retailers across the UK.
Customers can choose between two options to help spread the cost: the first is to pay nothing on the day, and spread the cost over as many as three monthly instalments, while the second option requires a 25% initial payment up front, but allows up to six monthly instalments to complete payment. Both offers have minimum spend requirements of £60 and a maximum of £5,000.
This new initiative makes it easier than ever for customers to accessorise their vehicle and spread the cost over a number of months. With more people staying in the UK for their holidays rather than going abroad, roof bars or a tow bar boost practicality and keep boot space free for luggage. Accessories like the Compact III Bicycle Carrier (£577.00 RRP including fitting) can be installed on any model with a tow bar.
Volkswagen currently offers retrofit tow bars – fixed, detachable or swivelling depending on the model, with prices varying depending on type – for all models except the up! city-car. This allows customers to make the most of the towing capabilities of their vehicle. Several models, including the Touareg and Arteon, have won multiple awards for their towing talents, from various expert publications.
The tow bars are built to fit each different model and integrate with their on-board systems, meaning that instruments, parking sensors, engine management and the cruise control system all function correctly. These tow bars also mean that Trailer Assist can be used, where fitted.
Also included in the 0% finance offer are decorative items like Volkswagen’s Dynamic Centre Caps (RRP £101.00 including VAT and fitting), which ensure that the famous Volkswagen roundel remains upright, even when the car is in motion. These have been updated for 2020 with the new Volkswagen roundel. Also new are puddle lights –suitable too for retrofitting – which project the new logo onto the floor beneath the door. These cost £115.00 RRP and plug into the same socket as the vehicle’s door lights. They can be fitted to any model with
door warning lights.
In addition to the 0% finance offered on aftersales and accessories, Volkswagen customers can also enjoy the benefit of an extended payment period on service plans. A 24-month, interest-free period builds upon the conditions set out by the previous, 18-month plan. This extension brings the monthly cost of a service plan down to £8.29, with the assurance and quality of care built in.
