Having wasted a fair amount of time going through the how to clean your MAF thread and giving up, I was reading on another forum that the injectors on a diesel can be cleaned...

I have the A6 2.5 tdi quattro, is injector cleaning a DIY job or do I best not touch it?

If anyone has any good advise on this. I am assuming it is not dangerous like on newer diesels, but not sure...

PS - If anyone actually has a how to clean your MAF guide that they are prepared to share I would be interested in that too! :beerchug:

injector cleaning isnt really a diy job, unless you have an ultrasonic cleaner and a pop tester to check the spray pattern and pressures afterwards. it is however a fairly cheap job to entrust to your local diesel specialist who will have all the kit required, and access to new pintles.
