I know what my heart is saying and I know what my mind is telling me, I have the chance to buy an early A8 with knackered fuel pump, 180,000 miles on clock, no history and a bit of emulsified oil in the expansion tank and not a drop of oil on the dip stick, it doesnt start and is scruffy but very cheap, hardly a ideal first appearance of a future mode of daily transport !!! tell me what I already know and just walk away... however the thought of owning such a car is so tempting but im 99% sure it will be a labor of love ending in lots of hard earnt money wasted and left with a scruffy A8... but I do love a challenge, any comments or suggestions welcomed
