Audi parts for servicing/guarantee work

A few days ago I caught the end of a news broadcast where (I think) it is said that from today the requirement to fit "genuine" manufacturers parts during service and guarantee work no longer applies.

I've looked for information about it on the Internet but haven't found any.

Does anybody have any information, please?
