Hi all.
The mrs has a 55 Toledo 1.9tdi sport. Last week whilst out and about the car went into limp mode. When she got to her destination she turned the car off. About an hour later she drove the vehicle and it was fine and was so for a day or so.
On Saturday it went into limp mode again, and then again on her next journey and on every journey (she is a carer so is going from one client to the next all day long). Anyway, she called kwick fit (for reasons only she can justify in her head) and they diagnosed fault 379. This is apparently 'boost pressure control deviation negative'.
They also said that the car has a screw on the turbp which can be adjusted to increase boost and that the previous owner may have done this whilst they ran it and turned it back to sell it and that may have created this problem.
She bought the car back in May 09 and has done 40K in it to now without any major issues.
Is this a real dignostic code and does any of the above mean anything to anyone? WHat would our next step be?
Any help is much appreciated!
thanks
Col
