New key required

Hi Folks

The remote unlock button on the key to my 02 plate Leon has packed up and the dealer wants a ridiculous amount of money to replace it and code it to the car. Are there any suppliers other than dealers and are they the only way to get it coded to the vehicle?

The remote control part of the key can be adapted with vagcom,you do not have to go to the dealers to do that
