Another A4 Avant Central Locking Pump Issue

Hi the central locking pump on my A4 Avant, 2000 V reg, has given up the ghost. The part I have is 8D0862257E I have been offered a replacement part that is part number 8LO 862 257, which I am told comes from another A4, no idea of model or year. Externally the part looks the same and connectors are the same. Can anybody tell me if this part will work in my A4 Avant, subject to the computerised key registration mentioned on the other central locking pump threads. Cheers.
