Approved Used Damaged spare

As some may know I have just bought a 3.0 tdi cab. S line from an audi dealer. Took the spare out to clean the wheel well and it was very badly damaged where it had been curbed, really chewed up.

Was surprised not picked up on inspection, or is this acceptable for Audi. I have e mailed pics to garage and await there response, but what do you think?

What is mentioned on your Multipoint Check ? Under `General` #30,` Check spare wheel condition and pressure`. Not sure if that means tyre only or overall tyre and wheel. I would have thought the latter.

Well I am very happy, the Audi garage said it should have been checked,that alloy wheel refurb should be about £50 and so they would send me a cheque for £200, faith very much restored :Blush:
