a3 2.0t is it remapped??

hi guys ive just bought myself an 07 a3 2.0t s line special edition, its brilliant! cant stop driving it. the only thing is i think it feels a little to quick for standard, my friend had a tt 2.0t n definitely feels quicker than that, i think it may have had a remap, It revs to 7000rpm, is this standard? i was wondering if there is anyway in telling if it has been mapped? id really like to know as im very satisfied with the peformance, although if in the future i did want to remap it would obviously be completely pointless lol.

i was also wondering is there a big difference on running the car on normal supermarket 95 petrol compared with high octane?
