Sharan 96 vaccume advance pipe

Hi everyone, just got a 96 sharan 2L petrol, heavy on petrol, i know its a big lump pulling a big lump, but it was running rough so i changed the plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm, running better now but still heavy on juice, found a pipe hanging off vaccume unit but dont know where it belongs any idea

If the pipe is attached to the brake servo vac hose then there are three pipes on mine, one goes to the fuel pressure regulator, one goes to the egr solenoid valve, however without having a look I cant remember where the third one goes
