firstly a big T/y to the guys across these boards who have posted some damn good info and consiquently have assisted me in resolving many issues with my motor,
yet another 2 solved this morning when i found where the water pipe to the rear washwipe had failed :biggthump
my next question is-
anybody any ideas how to trace the source of
a god awful whine between about 30mph and fades out at 60.
its a damn sight worse under brakeing and continues while coasting
( so i'm hopeing to god its not gearbox or clutch related)
each wheel has been jacked up and checked for play , but none found although it feels like one of the rear brakes may be dragging a little.
also noted a little play and a slight clunk as the wheels turn against the drive shafts.
any thought much appreciated,
