bora/golfmk4...how low on 18's

as the title says, got some 18" RS6's for my bora but would like to fill the gap left in the arches but dont want to cause any damage. was gonna go for 35mm. is that safe?

35mm will be fine.

Any lower and you need to start thinking about a modified front anti roll bar as the stock one will foul the driveshafts on occasion.

With a modded arb 50-60mm is no problem.

I have my bora lowered 40mm.....(although it seems lower) see my pictures. And as mentioned above, the arb was fouling the Drive shaft on hitting sharp bumps (speed bumps / kirbs etc). Very annoying. I needed to change the ARB bushes which reduced the fouling, but not completely.
As a temporary fix to this, i padded the ARB so as not to cause any damage until i can get a new modified ARB to replace it. (i wouldnt recommend this for long though)
