Hi All,
My 3.0tdi is cutting out infrequently with a flashing glow plug warning light (normal for a fault).. Maybe twice in 3 months but yesterday it did it at least 3 times in 1 hour.
I am having diagnostics done next Wednesday, but being inquisitive I decided to check all the injector electrical plugs, MAF plug etc. jiggled them around and guess what... it didn't do it again! Although coincidence is very possible.
The only other symptom is that sometimes the glow plug lights whilst driving (mostly when I come off the throttle I think) but the car carries on like normal. The glow plug light continues to flash until I re-start.
The car always starts OK after it cuts out.
The garage suggested a possible accelerator unit problem... Maybe, but I'm surprised it fixed itself. I've also read about possible ignition switch issues... This seems possible too.
The only other thing that might be significant is that it was 32 degrees yesterday.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Any advice very much appreciated
