Gear box problem

When changing from gear 2 to 3 I have recently noted that I have to push really hard (VW touran 2003, petrol, 6 gears). Sometimes it works fine wheras in other situations it is almost imposssible to reach the 3'rd gear. Occationally gear # 4 is also difficult to reach.

Any ideas of whats wrong ?

Hi i have the same problem, i used to have it with first gear but then a adjusted the gear selector cable and now it is only in 5 gear did you ever find out what the problem was??

Not yet. Right now it is not so bad. If i find the solution. I'll post the solution.
