Hello

I am replacing the factory fitted stereo in my 1998 Polo with a new Sony stereo/CD player. I have fitted it ok, but have poor reception on both FM & AM and it also wont store any pre sets. From looking at web sites I think I might need an aerial adaptor and do I need to alter any wiring to ensure memory settings remain there when the ignition is switched off?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to buy the wrong leads.

Many Thanks

Ben

Hi, i've done this operation a few times my self. I found that on occasions the wiring colours of the car differed to the radio. The problem will be somewhere to do with the live feed and the batt feed. I think that the batt feed is needed for the memory. I will stand corrected on this but if in doubt halfords do a good range of adapters that are sure to do the trick.
I've used them myself.
