bouncing clutch

just bought a leon 110 tdi
is this normal the clutch has a bouncy feeling its like a knocking sensation took it back but they say its fine but its not wife cant drive it as it drives her mad

anyone help

when you say knocking do you mean you can hear a knocking noise? If so its quite possibly your dual mass flywheel.I would take it for diagnosis and estimate somewhere other than your vendor they will then give you an unbiased view

engine is noisy but there is no knocking as such just a throbbing sensation in the clutch pedal
