Alarm wont switch off.

audi A3 X reg. TDi.

the alarm keeps beeping for no reason. I have tried de-activating the interior sensors via the button near the door, still goes off.

The only thing to stop it is to leave car open.

a) is there an easy way to diagnose what is causing this ?

b) is there an easy way to deactivate the alarm completely?

I'm on here searching for the same answer!!

Mines an 02 A3. Took it to an independant garage who pluged the computer in.

It listed far to many faults to make sense so they re-set them & left it for a day - thing never went off all day, waited till i got home & started again for me though!!!

Taking it back next week when I can leave it with them again.

Any other advice wud be good though!!!

One thing I have noticed though is that it doesn't flash the indicators when it sounds, only when its armed/disarmed.

No my indicators don't flash either.

I have bought a set of torx screwdrivers from ebay, going to disconnect it. Job done £2 !

I've been leaving it open anyway, so may aswell disconnect alarm and start locking it again.
