HI guys,

My intercooler is full of oil and I'm getting limp mode when under heavy load so it looks like I'm in for a new turbo.

Can i fit the 130bhp turbo to the 115 engine as i need to buy a new one anyways or am i best sticking to the correct turbo and getting the remap done afterwards ?

Car is a 2000 Mk2 Sharan 1.9Tdi Sport on a AUY engine. I have the factory part number for the correct Garrett turbo too if needed.

Cheers

Elton

That's what I thought about mine while struggling embarrassingly over the Snake last weekend, but an independent Vdub specialist friend says that a) oil collects there anyway sinc there are no seals on the turbo brgs, and b) it's probably the Air Mass Flow Meter that needs replacing (£40-90), especially if the engine feels normal after switching off then on again (the meter recalibrates itself). Apparently they get tired :o
