2007 A6 wipers

hi, have a slight problem with my wipers which seem to hit the frame of the windscreen when reaching the top of their wipe, with makes a knocking sound. Has anyone come across this before? many thanks for the help.

Yes I have had that problem on a Passat some years ago took 2 visits to main dealer to sort, but t hey got it in the end. Mine only did it at high speed though so was difficult to recreate the fault as I would guess the technician wouldnt normally test drive a vehicle at 100mph :D :D :D

Ignition on wipers off press switch down so the wipers wipe, then press the switch again only once as before downwards.Whenthe wipers finsih in the park position loosen the 15mm nuts on the arms and move them down abit and retighten.Now test them on full speed and check,if all ok leave them if not activate the one touch process again.This could be made easier by returning to the dealer and have them do it,6000 miles or 6 months for adjustments only.Best Regards Jon
