I came across this:

Anyone using it? My car has rcd310 and without bluetooth option. Is this pretty much the same as what the factory fitted option offers?

Its not cheap at around just under 400 quid.

I've just had the genuine vw bluetooth kit fitted to my rcd310. Cost £470 from vwcruise.com, but it is brilliant. If you have the 310 you need to have the hi-line computer because that is where it shows what you've seen on youtube, i.e. phonebook, last calls etc. . . I didn't fancy one that just sits on the dash, rather pay the extra and get the original thing

Or just buy the parts yourself for £250. I did that for mine, takes 30 minutes to fit.
