Hello fellow detailers !
I own a 2001 VWGolf paint colour JazzBlue with a few swirl marks, otherwise in mint condition.
I have hired a bay in my local valeting shop for Wed.
I am planning to do the following
1. Wash and shammy
2. Apply superglym polish and remove
3. Apply Autoglym Radient wax and remove.
4. Apply Autoglym Extra gloss protection and remove.
5. Rainex on all exterior glass.

As you can probably tell, i shall not be going to town on the interior apart from a hoover.

Does anyone think that this is a good combination ? Any different products I should consider.

She will be going in for a major valet in August Starguard?superguard etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

After the wash stage you should probably de-tar, and then clay the car to remove all the build up. Follow this up with your polish stage. I don't think you need both the wax and the extra gloss protection. One of these would probably be enough. If you are set on doing both I would imagine the wax would be the last stage.

Have you tried posting on detailingworld.co.uk? You will get a lot more advice there, though your head will be pickled with all the options!

Where have you the car booked in? Didn't know you could do that! I'm from near belfast myself.

Good luck with the car.

Hi

Do not waste your money on your superguard/starguard treatment. What you have planned will provide a better finish than one of those treatments.

Also, Radiant wax is pretty much the same as super resin polish so there is no point in you doing both.

I would bin your chamois as well, or use it on your wheels or something.

Also, you should clay your car as shown here: http://www.elitedetailer.com/car-care-guide-claying.php

So wash your car and use a decent drying towel, i.e http://www.elitedetailer.com/product_info.php?products_id=351&cPath=43 or http://www.elitedetailer.com/product_info.php?products_id=247&cPath=43 or http://www.elitedetailer.com/product_info.php?products_id=160&cPath=32_44 .

Then clay your car as shown in the guide.

Then Radiant/Super Resin your car.

Then 2 coats of your Extra gloss protection.
