Can anyone throw any light on what would put diagnostic light on with code P1180 please

it might be that its an internal fault if you have a scanner see if it is working properly in live data...

Does the code mention wheter there are 2 lamda sensors?

no ,how old is your car ?i think it was 2002 when cat monitoring was introduced
