Mate that is weird!! I cant see any connection apart from bad earth!?
Im no expert although have just sold a Golf with similar issues, well kinda!
First thing I would look at run a decent earth direct from battery to the body and the gearbox AND engine. prob sounds a bit excessive but i brought my Golf for 1/3 retail price here because of similar problems that knowone could fix and nothing came up on the dealer super computer. i ran a 6mm earth to the auto and everything was solved!
If this was a Ford Transit however i would suggest reaching above the steering column and pulling out the multi plug as the power feed melts under load and can backfeed through the lights....(IE it has to be a simple-in-your-face fault) some thing stupid

Good luck:)

"Sharan Gone crazy !" - No they are all like that :-)

Does yours have a box of electronics in a well under the front passenger seat? It's not called a "well" for nothing - has yours filled up with water?

If so, that is the cause of crazy behaviour. The water usually gets into the well because - wait for it - the drain under the battery in the engine compartment is blocked.

If this helps, please let us know. The electronics may resume normal service once they have dried out - if you are lucky :-)
