Hi all..

I have a UK Q7 (2007) and am wondering if there is a vagcom/vcds code to be able have the mirrors automatically fold in, when you lock the car (ideal for parking) and fold out when unlocked.

I have been looking to try and find out what address/module the electric mirrors would be in, but cant seem to track them down..i thought they would be in address/module 42 & 52 ..

Anybody with any ideas ???

Not with vcds, if you contact NHN he can advise better as it requires a custom mirror loom.

Will pass on that, not too important :)

Sorry to bring this back up, my Q7 loan had a button on the bottom left of the adjuster knob that shows the mirrors folding in.

I tried turning it around to this, but the mirrors didn't come in. Does it need a loom still? (Manual wasn't in the car).

I think the OP wanted the mirrors to fold when the lock button was pressed on the keyfob.

Cars on the 8K A4 chassis have this feature but most others dont :(

You cannot currently have auto folding mirrors when locking. You will have to wait until this years new model comes out to see if it is an option, than might be able to use the new controller.

So as it stands it's a NO

The answer to your question Is you must have the ignition on before they will fold

How does the fold work then? As I said, I tried it.

Did you try it with the key in the ignition ?

I tried it several ways.

I think mostly with the key out of the ignition?

Does the key have to be in?

Guessing so long as the key is in, and the adjuster knob is down to the bottom they fold?

I managed to get them pushed up by hand in the end (parked right next to a wall, so wanted to give people room without bashing dumbo's ears off...)

Ignition ON when folding the mirrors then turn the adjuster down ;)
