The drivers footwell on my toledo,2002TDi, has started to let in water, just below the clutch foot rest. Ive tried cleaning out the drains and even cleaned the pollen filter. Anyone any idea where this is coming from. Im told that theres a seal on the floor of the car that can give bother but i haven't had much of a chance to take a look. Any thoughts? Cheers

Private message!

I too have the same issue. Well I did.

I'd be willing to bet money its coming through the doors. It comes through the foam seal that is between the door and ancillery panel.

Thanks!

The car is in Dock at the minute getting Timing belt changed and that most pimping of accessories, a tow bar fitted. Im heading up today to give a hand to mechanic so I'll pass on your suggestion.

Many Thanks and Nice wheels by the way.

Matt

No worries, wheels suit it don't they.

Got a few body mods to get sorted and this annoying fan issue and then its minty mint.

VW brought out smoe sealing cord to replace the foam seal. You can buy it from a dealer, its about £30 and its enough to do 4 doors.

Make sure you clean all the old foam off first!

I've just posted a reply to "wet feet" which seems to be a similar thread. You might want to look at this. Basically I found the problem was the pollen filter housing.
