Hi all,

I have a Q7 with full electric seats and mirrors , and heard that it may be possible to program the seat position via VAG to the key fobs.
(1 fob each for me and wife)

Does anybody know if this is possible ???

If so how do i go about it ???

read user manual, you need memory seats,

press car

select systems

select seat adjustment

select drivers seat

select remote control key on

you need to do that for each key

put in your key, set seat, mirrors, steering column, take out and lock car, it stores positions to that key, put in next key, do as above , it will store to that key, it will automatically remember seat position as you unlock and open door.

well done chaps

There's a post over on the A5 forum with instructions about halfway down.
you'll need to have the long coding to get to it. If your module comes up with soft coding, don't think it's possible.

from that forum I get that you could re code it to save driver seat position to each key without the need for memory seats, I hunted long and hard for a q7 with memory seats for exactly that reason, I even chose it over keyless go, and paid a bit over the odds.

thats put me in a bad mood for the whole day that has.

still love my Q7:biglaugh:

would love a bit of keyless go though

flash!

please tell me its not true

Apparently not !

There are a number of code changes that work cross platform, but obviously you need to have the correct module installed to start with.

Sorry spud, I should have checked that against my module list. I have electric (non memory) in seats and no module 36 either.

just been looking through the system menu and found the switch to enable seat memory in the MMI Menu.
I've now got Seat Memory > Driver's Seat > Remote key > On/Off under the Car menu.

However, whenever I set that to On, it will reset back to Off. I guess that means it can't connect to the memory module. But I think we knew that... :(

Looks like there's no way to do this without adding the memory module.

Nobby what year is your Q7 is it tech latest MMI 3G or 2G ?? as i dont see anything under car menu like yours..??!

I know the seat memory module is J521 which is placed under the drivers seat, i just wonder if this is all you need to see the module/address 36 in vagcom.. then maybe you can add the coding for each keyfob..

It's an '07, 2G

You have to enable the option in the hidden system menu and then it appears in your CAR menu. Don't remember precisely where it was, but I could probably find it again...
