When the climate control is in Auto the E-con light comes on and will not turn off when pressed.
Any suggestions anyone?

I cannot de-select the Econ mode on mine. Manual says probably due to fault with Aircon system.
A large hen pheasant trying to cadge a lift at 75mph on A34 didn't help. Took out my front grill and aircon condensor. :aargh4:

I've got the same problem. A re-gass didn't help. Will the faults be shown when the car is scanned even though there are no other visible signs ie engine management light on dashboard etc. I hope this doesn't break the bank or I will be using ye olde air con and opening the windows.
Its almost certain to be your pressure sensor G65 next to the nearside headlight on your condenser.

I have a new climate control unit if yours is faulty.
