Tow bar A4 Avante 2010

Hi Everyone

Anyone out there no if there are any issues retro fitting a towbar to 2010 A4 Avant s line 170 TDI as a company I approached says there are cooling issues & refused to do the fitting unless a disclaimer was signed !

What you have been told is partially true, although them asking you to sign a disclaimer says to me that they are not confident in there own work.

We have Audi a4 Avant Tow Bars (http://www.pfjones.co.uk/tow-bars/audi-towbars/audi-a4-towbars/tow-bars-for-audi-a4-avant-estate/a4-avant-estate-b8-2008-.html) available for supply only and supplied and fitted either at one of our nation wide fitting depots or via our mobile fitting service. Prices obviously vary depending on the choice you take.

To avoid any problems I would suggest you purchase the Vehicle specific dedicated wiring kit (http://www.pfjones.co.uk/index.php?target=categories&category_id=2537). With it being a brand new car this would not void any dealer warranty and would also protect the on board systems if anything does happen.

WhizzI have the all road 2.0tfsi 2010 and purchased the original tow bar from SECOND HAND DEALER in germany (115 euro)i will installed it this week.i dint have any cooling issues ,however you can see on Etka what kind of cooling fan is installed in your radiator (watts)and the recom,speks (350,400 watts).
you can do it yourself ,the wiring and towing controler cost me 120 euro (original),so total cost of spairs for original Audi parts =235 euro.
you also have to have the towing wiring prep (a cable running from your brake pedal to the back of your car on the right hand (red plug) on top of your PDC, i will publish pictures when i finished the retrofit.
