I had an idling problem on my Vreg passat auto which was showing clear on diagnostics.
Finally found the problem to be MAF which was replaced.The car has only done 64k but apparently the MAFs start to play up at this mileage??
Car runs very well now but has developed another fault ,
when the throttle is released it takes a few seconds for the revs to drop back to 800.It seems to stick at about 1200 before finally settling back to 800.Once at 800 is stays there until the throttle is used
Any suggestions on what the problem might be???
