Paying it back is another thing. There are companies out there that will lend it quite legally!

Is it me or does that thing simply look like a fat Rover 75 ?

"Hi I'm Bentley, Rover's fatter and richer cousin."

thats just the cinicist in you <spelling?> :p ive always loved the continental GT and lets suppose for a split second, i managed to fund the finance for it... id never be able to run it, let alone insure it and maintain it.... you'd need a 2nd mortgage just to keep it on the road:(

...Just buy a Rover 75 for three grand then and blur your vision !

....You'd never tell !!

Hare & Tortoise springs to mind.

Whilst the big thing goes fast, affording the fuel would be another matter, the 75 "Vicars Elbow Patch" although slower, fuel not such an issue.

BigCol does make a very valid point. On most British roads the likes of Golf GTi's, Astra VXR's, Focus ST's and Mini Cooper S's would most likely stay ahead of your average Supercar such as F430, even Murcielago. They are simply to big.

yes, yes, yes but you've missed the whole point :o these cars aren't built for their practicality or their sensibility. there is something about having a bentley that just screams out to me. a rover 75 just doesnt make me feel the same. in the grand scheme of things, its a dream, i could never own one of those cars, i couldnt justify the running costs. but i have seen a few of them on the roads and what i wouldnt give to sit in one.:(

Not missed the point mate, I own an 83 Ferrari remember. No where near the value of the Bentley, though you would be shocked at the running costs and as for practicality :D:D:D non existent. I am with you all the way. You are a true petrol/diesel head ;)

Dreaming...

I suppose you might want to re-name yourself as such...

"Me.....the XIII Earl of Wimbourne, in the nurses training doramtory, at this hour?"

or (whenst actually in said dormatory)

"Oh heyl-oh, I'm the XIII Earl of Wimbourne, fancy doing a practical? Lets whiz orf in the Gee-Tee."

Or would it be more of a numb-scull footballer dream, as such....

"La-le-lar-la, I'm not capable of coherant finking, but I've got meself a big brash, garish vulgar car that only cost a weeks wages.....Right I'm off to pick up Shaz from the shoe shop."

Or would it be a city banker, as such....

"Ya ya ya yup, yes Roger, hold the line, [picks up other phone] "Sell sell sell", oh sorry Rog gotta go, ciao for now, go to stop at the petrol station again for the 5th time today!"

yeah you'll get finance if you want..thats why most of britain is in debt! Because they dont actually care if you can afford to pay it back...

Why doesnt the whole forum put money in a pot and buy it...? And we can each have it a few days a year! :D
