Hi all,

I'm due to replace the front suspension bushes and have been looking around at the polyurethane kits. Has anyone had any experience of "StrongFlex" kits ?

Cheers,
Ed.

no experience of those you mention, but the ones to go for IMHO are powerflex. and you can get them from Crasher at C&R (site sponsor).

Or Superflex

I put some on our Audi 80 2.8 and with HD dampers and 2deg neg camber on the front it was totally unstickable but you had to drive it fast otherwise the wear on the inner shoulders of the tyres was too high due to the excess camber (it was the wifes car and she never belived me!)

Were the bushes manufactured well and a good fit ?

I remember that they were a very stubborn fit but I cannot fault the finished performance. IIRC the shape of the Audi brackets were the main hinderence because they were set slightly splayed so that as soon as you got one in and applied pressure to the second the first would want to pop out. I have fitted poly bushes on a number of occasions and had no such difficulty. I am sure it was the vehicle brackets rather than the poly bushes. One thing you can do with poly bushes is to use copious amounts of grease because they don't rot as with rubber.
