Car battery?

Hi all i'm not sure what car battery to buy for my 95 ADR A4 1.8 20v.
Is worth spending big buck or just get a cheep one. My car also idles erratically i had new lambard and cat when car failed on emmissions and car still the same revs up and down i see this is a very common fault and people try all sort of things and it does not go away i'm confused i've had this fault for ages and it driving me mad can any one please help

best to spend as much as you can afford on a battery. a cheap one wont normally perform as well. as for the eratic idling, i would suggest a code read, and it may need the throttle body cleaning and calibrating. have a look in the vcds section to find someone local who may be able to help.
