has anyone else encountered this problem
golf tdi 02 reg avarage mileage
the car started to make a bearing or pully noise a few weeks ago had a quick look but nothing major i thought...untill i started it to go to work and all i got was a major ratchet noise squealing metal bearing noise...
turned it off as soon as poss.
the noise was a expencive noise like the cambelt had gone so had to take the wifes car audi a3 2.0 tdi 55reg sportsback she was not inpressed
the sound annoyedme all day i had to know if it was cambelt or something cheaper i hoped..
i asked advise and decided to drop the serpintine belt off to diagnose weather it was the engine or bolt on parts
and wehy she started result due to a ceased alternator
