ive brought a new sportback 2.0t quattro petrol and cant seem to get more than 22mpg. i use it mainly on motorways. ive done 3000 miles in total. i was expecting in the high 20's at least. is there something wrong? on the motorway i do between 80-90mph.

Hi... I'm sorry to hear of yor issue.
At that sort of speed your not far off what I would expect you to get.
This engine is not what Audi says it is at all for fuel economy.
I had an A4 of the same type and found the same.
Mine was also had a S Tronic geargox.
All you can do is keep a record of every fill incl. mileage.
You could also inform Audi UK and you dealer.
As well as poor economy I had a poorly gear box which IMHO they couldn't fix.
So it went back. Somthats why I now have a A5 TDI quaatro.
I'm still not getting what Audi claim, but at least it's better than before.
30+ is a lot better than 20 and that includes going out and having some fun.
Motorway driving which I don't do much is also better by far 20+ before at 75/80 now 38 @ 85/90.... :-)

Use High Octane fuel for two tank fill ups and you should notice a difference
